Offshore Medicals Near Me ("we", "us") is a booking service that helps you find and pay for ENG1 (MCA seafarer) and OEUK/OGUK offshore medical appointments at approved clinics across the UK. The medical examination itself is carried out by the independent clinic you select, not by us.
When you pay through this site, you pay Offshore Medicals Near Me for the appointment(s) in your basket. On top of each clinic's price we charge a booking fee of £10.99 per medical, shown as a separate line before you pay — our charge for sourcing the appointment, securing the slot and confirming it with the clinic. We then arrange and confirm the appointment with the clinic on your behalf. You will receive an email confirmation on payment, and a further confirmation once the clinic has been contacted.
Some clinics take payment on the day of the appointment, and some charge separately for extras such as a Chester Step test, a drug-and-alcohol screen, an ECG or a duplicate certificate. Any payment you make directly to the clinic is a contract between you and the clinic. We do not process, hold, control or refund those payments and we are not responsible for them.
Availability shown on the site is based on current appointment data and is usually accurate, but a slot can occasionally be taken between your payment and our confirming it with the clinic. If your chosen time is no longer available we will offer you the nearest alternative time or clinic, or a full refund (including the booking fee) if no suitable alternative is acceptable to you.
The maximum ENG1 examination fee is capped at £115 under the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 2018. Prices shown are inclusive of the clinic's fee.
If you cancel at least 72 hours before your appointment time, you get a full refund, including the booking fee. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the appointment are not refunded. Rescheduling is handled by the clinic and subject to its availability. Full terms are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
You are responsible for giving accurate contact details, attending your appointment on time, and bringing the required documents (passport/photo ID, any previous ENG1 certificate, and details of prescription medication). Missed appointments and late cancellations are treated as described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
We are not liable for the clinical outcome of any examination, for a certificate being refused or restricted, for a clinic's own conduct, or for any payment you make directly to a clinic. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
